NUOVA
1936 The first professional machine for espresso coffee conceived, designed and built by engineer Orlando Simonelli, in his workshop in Tolentino, is the Simonelli 1936.
This machine stylistically reflects the tastes of the period but was already technically innovative and ahead of its time. While other companies still used a lever system to deliver coffee, Simonelli was the first to use a pump which ensured continuous delivery - a revolutionary system at the time and still in use today with the best espresso coffee machines.
1969 - 1971The company changed its name to Nuova Simonelli. In the same period, the new Head Offices in Belforte del Chienti were inaugurated, marking the transformation of the old craftsman workshops into an industrial structure capable of taking up the new challenges of the times without losing touch with the past.
1985 Nuova Simonelli, one of the first companies to grasp the role that electronics could play in optimising coffee machines, launches new models with electronic components on the market. The Company is also taking up a new challenge: build a machine capable of making an excellent espresso coffee - yet simply without requiring the experience and skill of Italian barmen. After years of design, the market at last sees the first super-automatic machine with a hydraulic coffee system.
1995New USA branch opened: "Nuova Distribution" in Washington State, the American capital of espresso coffee. This branch now enables the company to coordinate the North American market.
2003 Launch of the MicroBar, a design winner, an extremely compact automatic machine with all the features and functions of a maxi professional.
